First Fridays

Every first Friday of the month is a citywide gallery night that encourages collaboration between non-profit, university, and commericial art venues in Rochester. This initiative showcases area artists and arts institutions as a community night for experiencing art. First Friday ensures a healthy art scene and a healthy city through regular exchange and discussion between venues, artists and patrons. First Friday Rochester was initiated, and is administered by Rochester Contemporary Art Center.

The Clothesline Arts Festival

Rochester’s largest and longest-running fine art and crafts festival! It’s now the place to experience all-day live entertainment, sample food from some of Rochester’s favorite vendors, enjoy free family art activities, visit the museum, and of course, browse and buy original artwork throughout the grounds.

Second Saturdays

Many artists in Anderson Alley (250 N. Goodman) and other buildings open their studios for the Second Saturday of each month. This is an open house event where visitors can walk around the four stories of artists studios and see participating artist’s work. They can also mingle with the artists and munch on snacks and drinks.
